Welcome friends!
My name is Kaila Ingram and I have been imagining and creating my entire life. It’s where I am my truest self and it’s something I have a passion for sharing with others. Making people happy through art and creating is my greatest dream.
At a young age I started to learn to replicate my favorite cartoon characters, which quickly snowballed into building sets in my home and putting on plays, designing magazines, illustrating books, hosting a car radio show for all who would hear, the sky was the limit.
From there I realized that this love I had was not only just that, it was also a skill, something I was really quite good at. I took classes at the Maryland Institute College of Art (MICA) over the summers in middle school. I was obsessed with getting my hand on anything creative and telling a wonderful story.
In my college years I studied Theatre: Performance and Art with a focus in Graphic Design and Illustration. I learned I learned digital art mediums for the first time. I learned how to design packaging, to design posters, and digitize characters. I also learned how to speak clearly and concisely, and lead a team in my theatrical pursuits. I learned to sew, to design and build sets and lighting displays, it was remarkable and the love grew and grew.
Now I find myself having worked in the field of graphic design for over ten years and I’ve begun to expand on my love of illustration and character design as a freelancer, hungry for more creativity and endless exploration into the stories yet to be told.
After a brief few years in Los Angeles, and having to relocate back to Maryland due to unforeseen circumstances in the pandemic, I am looking for the next adventures to come.
If you’re here to explore my portfolios, I hope you the love and the magic and care that is sprinkled into each piece and I look forward to the opportunity to work together.
I am available for freelance work at this time, so please send me a message!
